The final major men’s championship of the season is here.
After two rounds, the first two rounds of Royal Liverpool’s 151st British Open are complete. Brian Harman leads the field Brian Harman leads the field following an opening 10-under 132. This includes a 6-under-65 on Friday. Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and others had the same total after two rounds in the two previous Opens held at Royal Liverpool. Both went on to win.
Harman has a five-shot lead after the second round. He will be in the last group with Tommy Fleetwood who shot an even-par score of 71 on the Friday, and is now at 5 under. Sepp Straka moved up to solo third place at 4 under after a 67. He carded 8 birdies.

Harman is ninth in the past 40 years for a player to have a 36-hole advantage of at least five strokes in a major tournament. Each of the eight previous players went on to win.
