Feb, 2023

It’s a two horse race and Abraham Ancer has a slight advantage at the last corner.

Cameron Young and Ancer have pulled away from the field at PIF Saudi International at Royal Greens Golf and Country Club, Saudi Arabia. Ancer is 17 under and Young is 15 under. This puts them five shots ahead of the trio tied for third. Ancer shot 6-under 64 in round three, while Young shot his third consecutive 5-under 65.

Matthew Wolff and Sadom Kaewkanjana are tied for third at the Asian Tour event’s 10 under.

Last week, Rory McIlroy faced Patrick Reed in Dubai. It’s now Ancer and Young, PGA Tour’s 2022 rookie of the year, at the venue LIV Golf’s championship event in November.

“Yeah! Another solid round. Ancer stated that he was happy with the fact that there were no dropped shots. That’s my goal. When it blows really well on a course like this, I feel really, really happy.

“Not really focusing on what everyone else is doing. “Just trying to play the same game that I have been playing for the past three days.”

Wolff shot 7-under 63 to win the round. Young is Ancer’s closest follower, and he looks forward to Sunday.

Young stated, “Yeah I think I’ve played very solidly.” “Obviously Abe is playing some very nice golf. Tomorrow will be fun, I believe.
