Seafood, the yacht that Rodney Dangerfield owned in the movie ” Caddyshack“, has a new owner.
Jay Oliver, a marketing professor from Rhode Island , first listed the boat for sale at $350,000 five month ago.
Oliver’s agent tells the publication that his client’s family purchased their first VCR when he was growing up and that the first movie they rented was “Caddyshack”.
Since then, fandom has remained a constant.
The boat was constructed in 1979. It was then featured in the 1980 golf movie.
Al Czervik (played by Dangerfield) carelessly steers Seafood to the right of Judge Smails’ new sailboat.
Czervik then drops an anchor through the hull the small sailboat.
Seafood has been used as both a charter boat and an Airbnb rental over the years. Oliver plans to keep the boat in Hilton Head, South Carolina and make it available for overnight rentals.
