If Jack Nicklaus’ and Tiger Woods’ names weren’t already linked enough in sacred places, they will now be forever linked to one of the most beautiful places on earth.
Nicklaus Design has announced that its first Nicklaus Heritage Course will be at Jack’s Bay, Bahamas. The new championship layout will cost around $20 million and sit on the tiny island of Eleuthera. Eleuthera is known for its white and pink beaches.
Tiger Woods’ and TGR Designs’ short course is already on the property. The Playground was completed in March of 2020 with holes that range from 71 to 164 yards.
The new Nicklaus venture is the first to be under a brand new name. According to the company it will feature “the senior Nicklaus designers who were personally trained by Jack Nicklaus for several decades.” Nicklaus Heritage designs are a culmination of the design values and philosophies that Nicklaus designers have learned from Jack Nicklaus over their career working on world-famous Jack Nicklaus Signature golf courses.
Chad Goetz will lead this project. He has experience in a number of high-profile Spanish projects, as well as redesigns and renovations at the Royal Palm Yacht and Country Club, Boca Raton (Florida) and Great Waters Course at Lake Oconee (Georgia).
Goetz stated, “It will be spectacular.” “A number holes stretch along the ocean. Even the land that is off the ocean features a remarkable topography with rolling terrain, elevation changes, lakes and deep water “blue holes” to the ocean. We plan to protect the natural integrity of the island and preserve its beauty.
The project should be completed by 2025. Take a look at this stunning property:
