Jessica Korda is sidelined by an injury for the last two LPGA events held in Florida.

Nov, 2022

Jessica Korda won’t be competing in the last two events of LPGA Season. Korda posted on Instagram that she had suffered a back injury which ended her 2022 season.

Korda wrote, “I’m beyond bummed.” “I’ve not had the best luck with injuries in my career but I’m going on. I am excited to return next year for my thirteenth season on tour stronger and healthier.

Korda will be absent from this week’s Pelican Golf Championship in Belleair (Florida), where Nelly, the current champion, is competing. The season-ending CME Group Tour Championship, in Naples, will also be missed by Korda. It boasts a $2million winner’s check and is the largest tour championship in history.

Korda was runner-up in the Chevron Championship. This is her best finish at majors and she is 32nd on CME’s points list. Due to injury, she missed several months of the spring.

Korda is among three players in the top 60 of the Race to the CME Globe, but has not yet entered the season-ending event. Linn Grant and Inbee Park are also joining her.

Deadline to enter is November 8th at 5 p.m. Park is currently 50th on CME’s points list and has not competed on LPGA since August’s AIG Women’s Open. Grant, who was solo third at the Toto Japan Classic, and T-8 at the BMW Ladies Championship in South Korea last week, has not competed on the LPGA this season.

Grant is the leading player on Ladies European Tour and holds full status on LPGA. She has participated in six events this year. She’s No. 51 on the CME points lists.
