Furyk stated that he started getting more questions about Hall of Fame after he turned 50 in 2020.

During a February interview with the Times-Union, he stated that he initially thought about it. “I was humbled when people asked me about it. It is often mentioned more frequently, which makes me think about it. It would be quite amazing if that happened.

Furyk stated that the competition he faced every week on PGA Tour against Hall of Fame players like Phil Mickelson and Phil Love, as well as Ernie Els and Tiger Woods made him a better player.

He said, “Competition can be a good thing.” They got me more than I got them.

The 2024 Hall of Fame players’ category should be a fierce battle. Harrington, an affable Irishman has won 21 events around the world, including the British Opens in 2007 and 2008, and the 2008 PGA. Last August, Weiskopf, who died last August, was the winner of 18 events, including the 1973 Open.
