Joel Dahmen will team up with No. 1 Lilia Vu at upcoming Florida event

The Grant Thornton Invitational will be held in December, as part of Challenge Season.

The event will replace the QBE Shootout and feature a 32 player field, including 16 PGA Tour players and 16 LPGA members, competing for a purse of $4 million. The three-day event, which includes three different playing formats, scrambles, foursomes and modified four-balls, will take place from Dec. 8-10, at Tiburon Golf Club, in Naples.

Dahmen, 35, had five Top 10 finishes out of 30 events in the 2022-23 year. This included a tie for the third place at World Wide Technology Championship held last November. He won his only PGA TOUR career title in 2021, the Corales Puntacana Championship. Dahmen is also featured in the Netflix documentary “Full Swing”.

Vu, 29, is ranked No. The 29-year-old Vu is No. She had two more Top 10 finishes in this year.

The AIG Women’s Open Trophy was won by American Lilia Vu at Walton Heath Golf Club, Tadworth in England.

Dahmen and Vu join Nelly Korda, Tony Finau, Ricki Fowler, Lexi Thompson, Jason Day, Lydia Ko, Sahith theegala, Rose Zhang, and Canadian golfers Corey Conners, Brooke Henderson.
