John Daly, welcome back!
At the Sanford International 2023, the big-hitter and fan favorite enjoyed his best golf week in over a year. He broke 70 only four and five times all season during the second and first rounds. He tied for eighth place with an even-par score of 70.
Daly’s best finish from 2023 so far was a tie at 38th place in July, at the Galleri Classic held at Mission Hills Country Club. Daly has finished 65th on average this season and has missed two events.
He opened the week with a 66-64 score at Minnehaha Country Club, in Sioux Falls. He finished 10 under.
Before this week, Daly had only three rounds in 60s out of 30 played. Daly’s most recent top-10 finish came in June 2022, when he tied for eighth place at the American Family Insurance Championship. He withdrew in 2022 from the Sanford.
