The announcement of the renewal was made during the annual media day for this tournament at TPC Deere Run, in Silvis Illinois. According to a Tweet from the official tournament handle the extension will run through 2026.

John Deere has been a title sponsor of the Tour since 1998.

Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan stated in a press release that “The John Deere Classic represents a great example of a PGA Tour community coming together and achieving great things.” John Deere, as title sponsor, has gone above-and-beyond to create an exceptional experience for our golfers and fans while also making a lasting contribution with local charities.

The John Deere Classic, which began in 1971, has raised $159.57 millions for charity. Of this amount, 98 per cent has been raised by John Deere since 1998, when it assumed the title sponsorship. The John Deere Classic donated a record-breaking $13.9 million last year to 481 charities through its Birdies for Charity Program.

The John Deere classic is more than a stop on the PGA Tour for our company and for hundreds of John Deere retirees and employees who give their time freely to make it a fantastic event for fans and players. John C. May said that the John Deere Classic helps John Deere connect with its global customers, and makes a positive impact on our local community.

In 2000, the John Deere Classic was moved to TPC Deere Run. Previous winners include Stricker (2009-11), Johnson (2012 and Jordan Spieth (2013) and 2015). Poston won his second Tour title last year by leading from wire-to-wire and winning in three strokes over Christiaan Beezuidenhout, Emiliano Grillo, and Christiaan.

The agreement also includes the sponsorship of the John Deere classic and continuation of John Deere’s Official Marketing Partners program. Deere will continue to be the Official Golf Course Equipment Provider of the PGA Tour. It is also the Official Golf Course Equipment Provider of the TPC Network.

The tournament in 2023 will take place from July 6 to 9 at TPC Deere run.
