HOYLAKE (England) — Jon Rahm could do without the cameramen who follow his every move.

He has been agitated by them for the third time in a row.

Rahm began his rant with a torrent of F-bombs, as witnessed by members of the media. He was then asked in Spanish and English what was bothering him.

He explained, “I was trying to walk but there were way too many people blocking my path. I couldn’t keep up my normal pace because of them.”

Rahm is the Masters champion from April and ranked No. He had a disappointing, and even frustrating day. His second shot on 18 ended in a bunker. He recorded a 3-over score of 74.

“I’m trying to get through the bad moment at 18 when I see someone with a flashlight on my crotch, keeping up with Rory. I can’t keep up with my own pace.” “That’s the kind of disregard I (had to deal with),” he said.

Rahm was frustrated with an ESPN cameraman in the third round of the PGA Championship, which took place in May. The cameraman had been too close to Rahm at the 8th hole. Rahm was heard on the telecast saying, “Stop aiming your camera at my face whenever I am angry. It’s what you guys do.”

He was more discrete at the U.S. Open but could not hide his anger towards a cameraman who, according to him, was in front of him on the par-3 11 th during the third round.

Rahm wears his emotions on his sleeves and claims that when he is angry, he plays his best golf. It’s not just Rahm who complains about the cameras being too near them. Bryson deChambeau made a similar comment at the Rocket Mortgage Classic a few year ago in Detroit.

It’s part of being a big name in the sport to be shown on television. Santander wants the logo of their company on Rahm’s sleeve, and Callaway renewed his endorsement contract. Rahm will likely have to accept that cameramen are “in his faces.”

However, the first round of 151 British Open was not held on that day.
