Jon Rahm’s previous start was a disappointment. The final round at Torrey Pines was not perfect and resulted in a T-7 finish. This is a season-best result for many players on the PGA Tour but the standards for world No.1 are higher. 3.
Rahm is already in Arizona, preparing for the WM Phoenix Open next week. This will be the first ever full-field designated event in Tour History. Rahm must defeat Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler to claim his third win in four starts. Justin Thomas is also on Rahm’s list. Pretty much every other big name that you can think of.
How does he get his game dialed in. Just playing with J.J. Watt, Tom Kim, and arguably the greatest Olympian ever to live, Michael Phelps.
Match #1 – JJ0 Rahmbo 1I only gave him 36 shots from TPC Scottsdale tips and he was unhappy when he realized he would have won stroke play.
He played one of the most exciting rounds I’ve ever seen. It was amazing to see his progression. Ready for Match #2, but only gave him 34 shots. Vamos! pic.twitter.com/EGEPFqakKUJon Rahm Rodriguez (@JonRahmpga February 4, 2023
Rahm’s record at the WMPHI Open is ridiculous: T-10 (2022), T-13 (2121), T-9 (202020), T-10(2019), T-10 (2019), T-11 (2018) and T-16 (2017).
It’s no surprise that he is the betting favourite entering the week.
