FORT WORTH (Texas) — Despite the fact that the PGA Championship, held in Western New York, interrupted two PGA Tour events taking place in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, the Charles Schwab Challenge 2023 field was impressive, with 11 of the top 30 players in the world making the trip.

The cream did not necessarily rise to top, as some of the highest-ranked players at Colonial Country Club failed to make it to the weekend. Others were flirting with the line at the end of Friday’s play. Former champ Jordan Spieth was one of those who missed the cut. He had never missed a cut in his previous 10 starts.
