Dustin Johnson jumped at the chance to leave the PGA Tour for LIV Golf. His name was on the entry list to the first Saudi Arabia-backed league event in London last season. This is a huge loss for the Tour.

On Wednesday, the Texan was asked about Johnson by the reporter before the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am began. Johnson and Spieth have played together at this event on numerous occasions.
The 16th-ranked player in the world stated that “he really loved this event.” He loved playing with Wayne Gretzky, his father in law. It was a great time. We had a great time together for eight years. We played with him for eight or nine years.

Spieth believes that the 2020 Masters champion is the most important departure of all the major departures from last year.
