Justin Rose is making a case for the 2023 Ryder Cup.

Former World No. The former World No. 1 won Monday’s 2023 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am by three shots. This was after a week of severe weather that delayed the PGA Tour’s annual visit to the Monterey Peninsula.

Rose finished his nine-hole final round before play was stopped due to darkness on Sunday night. Monday’s play began with a lead of two shots at 15 under. The 42-year old Englishman made three birdies in his final nine to finish at 18 under. This was three more than Brandon Wu (66) and Brendon Todd (65) who were T-2 at 15 below. Keith Mitchell (68), and Peter Malnati (69), finished T-4 at fourteen under.

Rose, a five-time Ryder Cup member of Team Europe, has struggled to make it in the top ten over the past few years. Rose’s last win was at the Farmers Insurance Open in 2019. Rose is slowly getting back to form during the 2022-23 PGA Tour season. Rose, the 2013 U.S. Open Champion, has placed in the top 30 in five out of six starts but posted a T-9 at Cadence Bank Houston Open. Rose’s emergence could prove to be crucial for matches in Italy this fall, as the European squad was fractured by key players joining LIV Golf.
