Justin Rose, a NAPLES resident in Florida, appears to be concerned about the future of his employer.
Rose told reporters on Thursday that it was a “big signing” when Jon Rahm left the PGA Tour for LIV Golf. LIV confirmed Rahm’s departure later that day.
“He is a great catch and a huge loss.” He strengthens one side while weakening the other. Rose said, “I don’t even know who goes with Jon.” “If Jon is the only one, then that’s not good enough. What does this mean for the trickle now? “If it’s Jon and a trickle that’s bad.”
Rose played at Tiburon Golf Club on Thursday as part of the pro-am in preparation for the 2023 Grant Thornton Invitational. This event will feature top golfers from both the PGA Tour & LPGA. Rose, an Englishman, has just had one of the greatest golfing moments in his life, when he and Rahm, a Spaniard led the Europeans to victory at the Ryder Cup.

Will there be a deal?
The original deadline to reach a deal was the 31st of December. This deadline is unlikely to be met.
The players did not want to accept the agreement and that was a major part of the issue. Now we have to deal with the consequences. We are still in talks with the PIF regarding investment, but will we give them enough comfort to not make LIV their top priority?
The next month will be very interesting to watch. This is going to play a major role in the puzzle of Jon’s departure.

Rose was hoping for Rahm to show that the recent rumors were unfounded. Rahm’s sudden disappearance did not inspire him.
Rose says that Rahm could have denied reports that he would be joining LIV in exchange for $300 million plus an ownership stake but his silence has been “deafening.”
Rose stated that “a lot had to happen” for Jon to reach that point, as I knew he was one of those players who didn’t play golf solely for money. Rose said, “But there is a certain amount that becomes money which is hard to ignore.
“I don’t think he is a player who sacrifices his level just for money.” He thinks that there is a future in the game and is one of those lucky guys who are eligible for all major championships, so that’s likely a factor that influences his decisions.
Rose, 2013 U.S. Open winner, is interested in qualifying for the biggest golf events, including majors and Ryder Cup. He is also considered as a potential European Ryder Cup Captain.
Rose has also won over $92 million between the PGA Tour and DP World Tour.
Rose wonders about Rahm’s legacy, as an 11-time PGA Tour winner who has earned more than $51 million.
Rose: “I believe Jon is a player who has a strong focus on legacy.” He represents Spain by following Seve (Ballesteros), Jose Maria (Olazabal). He is aware of his position in the frameworks of Spanish golf, world golf and European Golf.
I don’t believe he made this decision carelessly.
