Justin Thomas is one of six golfers who won the Hawaii Double (Sentry and Sony) on the PGA Tour

Jan, 2023

The Sentry Tournament of Champions in Maui is the first event of the year for the PGA Tour. The field includes 39 golfers who are competing for $2.7 million, up from $11 million a year ago.

From 2022, not everyone is a tournament champion. Ten golfers who were not able to win, but qualified for the Tour Championship, have been subject to a permanent eligibility change.

The 2023 field also has 13 new Sentry golfers.

Only three Sentry champions from the past are playing this week: Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth. Hideki Matsuyama, Russell Henley and Russell Henley are the only two players in the field to have won the Sony.

We take a closer look at six golfers who earned the double dip at the Sentry Tournament of Champions in Hawaii and the Sony Open in Hawaii.
