Justin Thomas struggles with the weather, while Justin Finau is off to a blazing start at 3M Open

BLAINE (Minn.) — The first 3M Open of 2023 at TPC Twin Cities has been completed, and there are many players on the leaderboard.

All but four players played the morning wave in Minnesota. The players were able to get birdies in many different ways, as they tried to position themselves well for the FedEx Cup Playoffs that begin in two weeks.

Nick Hardy bent the club as he swung around a tree. It resulted in an ace. He’s 6 under. Billy Horschel needed a run in order to make it to the playoffs finally got some putts and is lurking. The defending champion Tony Finau had a great start.

The weather horn was sounded locally at 7:59 pm (7:59 pm ET). The play ended with only a few groups remaining on the course. Round 1 will resume at 9 a.m. The second round is scheduled to start on time.

The first day of the 3M Open in 2023 will be a big event. Here are some things to keep in mind.
