Justin Thomas’s dieting is over. ‘If you hear me do that again, please tell me to stop.’

Nov, 2023

Justin Thomas has finished his year of dairy- and gluten-free living.

Thomas, the two time PGA Championship champion, has left no stone unturned on his quest to be great. Thomas’s decision to give up pizza and live gluten-free led him to become a glutton of punishment. He failed the FedEx Cup Playoffs, and fell from No. He dropped from No. 8 to No. This year, the number 27 is in the world.

He said, “It was not exactly my best stretch of play, so if I could do it again, I wouldn’t,” during a Tuesday press conference before this week’s Hero World Challenge. “Yeah. It’s just one of those things. I don’t give too much. If I am going to do anything, I will do it. I’m going want to know what it is.”

Thomas, , turned 30 years old in April. He explained earlier this season he noticed that his energy levels were low when he played in extreme heat. So he decided on a diet recommended by Dr. Ara Suppiah. She is the chief medical doctor at NBC Sports and Golf Channel. Thomas said Golfweek in August that he had ordered three gluten-free Pizzas after he returned to the U.S.

Thomas reminded the questioner that he was supposed to be dairy-free for six months and gluten-free for a whole year. “I was in the U.K. at the time for Scottish and British, and I thought it was a good idea to wait six months before starting again. I didn’t want to do this in the middle a tournament. I wasn’t sure how my body would react. After not eating for six months I was worried that my body might freak out. When I arrived in Minnesota, I had a gluten-free pie on Monday or Tuesday after shooting 400 for the first two days of The Open Championship. I swear, I could have wept, it was that good. ”

Thomas joked before that he would give up one his Wanamaker Trophies in exchange for a meat or pepperoni pizza.

“And honestly, for the next two-week period, I slowly reintroduced dairy and I felt no different. I was actually shocked. I was pleasantly surprise. I called Ara who I had been working with. I said, “I’m eating gluten. I don’t really feel any better after having it again. So I’m going have it to see how it goes.” “And here we are.”

Thomas said that reigning British Open winner Brian Harman best put it. “Basically, if you play bad for a whole year and have to diet then you go back to what you were doing. He told me that.

Thomas said to the media, “Yeah. If you guys see me do that again, please tell me to stop.”
