It’s safe to say that the golfing world paid attention to what was happening at TPC Summerlin, in Las Vegas. Lexi Thompson has a lot to do with it.
When she teed off at the Shriners Children’s Open in 2023, the 28-year old became the seventh woman golfer to compete on the PGA Tour. Thompson had a chance to make it on Friday’s back nine until two late bogeys. Thompson shot a 2-under-par 69 on the Friday, and a carded 142 (even par) for the week. This will be just outside the cut line.
