Fujikura, in collaboration with Folds of Honor has announced a limited edition of its Fujikura Ventus TR Blue Shafts featuring a digital-camouflage finish.
The Ventus Blue TR is a new addition to the Ventus line, developed using in-depth ENSO analysis and by working closely with Tour players. The TR version of the Ventus Blue is also a mid-launch, but it has a stiffer mid/handle to improve consistency and stability.
The Ventus TR shaft still uses VeloCore, but the “Spread Tow’ fabric is used in the butt end section of the shaft to increase the torsional stiffness. Spread Tow is a design similar to a checkerboard that uses fibers to reduce weight and increase strength. Fujikura claims that the torque in the section using this design is 10 percent higher.
Since 2007, Folds of Honor Scholarships has awarded over 51,000 scholarships to children and spouses of fallen or disabled military personnel and first responders.
Limited quantities of 6 S and 6X shafts are available through Fujikura Charter Dealers. The price per shaft is $350.
