Even after the framework agreement was leaked this week, details are still scarce about the proposed deal between the PGA Tour DP World Tour & Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund for the creation of a global golf entity.
How will LIV Golf players be brought back to the Tour? Are there suspensions? Fines? How much and for how long? Do players want to come back to the Tour at all?
It depends on who you ask.
I’m very happy that I chose to work at LIV. It’s been great. Brooks Koepka said, “I can’t speak for everyone else, but everybody seems to be pretty excited and happy about where they are right now.” Brooks Koepka was speaking ahead of the LIV Golf Andalucia tournament in Spain this week. It’s hard to predict the future, because I can’t control what other players do. But I am happy with where I am right now. I will take each day as it comes.
Koepka’s return to the Tour has been long rumored. Dustin Johnson was a relatively easy departure and could easily fit in again. Johnson is happy with the smaller schedule and higher pay.
“I am excited about the future.” Johnson said that he believes this agreement will only make LIV better. It’s already wonderful. “I am happy where I am and I don’t want to play any more golf.”
Sergio Garcia said, “If all goes as planned and we expect it to go, I won’t be playing a lot on the PGA Tour. I don’t plan to play 30 events a season.” “That is not on my mind right now. We can only make decisions when we are all in agreement and know where we stand. But I don’t believe so. “I don’t know, but I think not.
It is smart for players to keep the door open to a possible return to Tour. If the PGA Tour Board and the U.S. Government approve the deal, who knows what schedule will look like in the coming years?

Will Lefty be back on tour, or even the Champions Tour? Do not hold your breath.
Mickelson said, “Rather than say yes or no, from my player experience, I know that all of the challenges, difficulties, and things that require a lot excessive energy and output during the week have been resolved at LIV.” “The player experience is amazing.”
“I can’t imagine a better situation for me to play out than here on LIV.”
