LIV Golf has put its events on YouTube, but you will have to pay.

May, 2023

LIV Golf’s first season is exclusively available on YouTube. The streaming of the events was completely free, and there were also no advertisements.

Then in January, LIV reached a multiyear broadcast agreement with The CW.

This is an important day for LIV Golf, as this partnership involves more than media rights. The CW provides maximum exposure to our athletes and fans as they reach more than 120,000,000 households in the United States,” Greg Norman, CEO at LIV Golf said.

After the league’s second season saw a drop in ratings for the first six matches, LIV decided to bring back its YouTube broadcasts.

It comes at a cost.

According to LIVGolf.com , fans will be charged $2.99 per day for coverage. However, viewers in certain regions can watch the live coverage for free on the LIV golf YouTube channel, depending on third-party partnerships in each global territory.

“The expansion of LIV Golf live coverage to YouTube is another milestone for the innovative ways we make our groundbreaking competition accessible to viewers,” stated Will Staeger. LIV Golf is a worldwide league that includes some of the biggest names in the sport. This supports our goal to bring the sport we all love to more people around the globe.

The CW’s app and The CW website will continue to broadcast tournaments for free. LIV also offers free access to the events on its website.

This week, LIV Golf will be in Washington D.C. for its seventh tournament of the 2023 Season.
