At 8 under, Ian Poulter and Richard Bland, both LIV Golf members, are tied for first place. Bland was 3 over through the first four holes of his second round, when the horn blew, while Poulter was only 1 under through the third.

No. World No. 1 Rory McIlroy was at the course on Friday to complete his first round. He made the most of it.

He started by making a short-range birdie at the par-3 7th, his 16th hole. He then hit an approach shot on the Par-4 eighth to score an eagle. McIlroy ended his day with a 159-yard approach shot on the par-4 eighth for eagle. He then played his last three holes at 4 under.

It’s not bad.

McIlroy is at 6 under. Patrick Reed was the headliner earlier this week for throwing a tee at McIlroy. For the past few days , the two players have been arguing .

If there’s a god of golf, he will pair them for a weekend double.

Victor Perez and Lucas Herbert are 5 under, Tommy Fleetwood and Tommy Peters are 4 under, Tyrrell Hatton and Shane Lowry are 3 under, and Ryan Fox is 3 under.
