LPGA players make big moves in the Golfweek/Sagarin ranking 2023

Dec, 2023

The 2023 LPGA was a season that was largely unpredictable. Few would have predicted that LiliaVu would win 2 majors, or that Lydia Ko wouldn’t qualify for the CME Group Tour Championship which she won last year.

The Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings reveals a year that was full of major changes – both positive and negative.

What they do:

Jeff Sagarin’s rating system is based upon a mathematical formula which uses a player’s won-lost or tied record against other golfers when they played on the same course the same day. The stroke differential between these players then links all of the players together based on their common opponents. The ratings show who has been playing well in the last 52 weeks.

Players must also have participated in 10 or more events before they can be ranked. Editor’s Note: The Rolex rankings are included for comparison.
