It didn’t seem to take very long.
Ludvig Aberg, a rookie from Sweden, won his first professional title on Sunday in the DP World Tour 2023 Omega European Masters held at Crans sur Serre Golf Club Crans Montana. The 23-year old rising star from Sweden shot a 6-under-64 after bogeying the first hole, to finish at 19. Under. He was two shots ahead of Alexander Bjork’s (66), and three shots ahead of Matt Fitzpatrick’s (69) and Connor Syme’s (67). Aberg won his sixth European Tour event.
Aberg has been the subject of much hype for several years and it has now reached its peak, as this win came just one day before European Ryder Cup Captain Luke Donald announces his six captains’ picks for upcoming matches later in the month. Aberg played with European vice captains Nicolas Colsaerts, and Edoardo Molinari for the first two round of this week.
