The pace of play on the PGA Tour has been a hot topic since the final round at the Masters.
Brooks Koepka criticized Patrick Cantlay‘s slow pace in the final round of Augusta National. Cantlay was again the target of Golf Twitter’s ire when the Tour released a video showing his hole-in one at the RBC heritage. Most replies and quote tweets targeted his pace of playing. On Tuesday, a was released that showed fans time the length of time it took for the player ranked fourth in the Official World Golf Rankings to make a shot.
Cantlay has been addressing the pace of play issue in golf with one of his playing partners from the final round of Harbour Town Golf Links.
Matt Fitzpatrick who won the final match in Hilton Head Island over Jordan Spieth, South Carolina, said to Sky Sports that the pace of play is “truly shocking” on Tour. No one is going to do anything.”
