Homa is enjoying his time at the Gary Player Country Club, in Sun City, South Africa. He has yet to make a bogey. He shot a 66 in the first round and a 68 in the second to reach 10 under par, where he is tied with Matthieu Pavon of France.

Homa is a six-time winner on the PGA Tour, but he’s still searching for his first international win.

“I am very pleased, surprised and pleasantly surprised. Homa commented, “It’s nice to feel better every day. “I felt like I was playing golf again when I woke up this morning. That was great. It’s like a dream. You might as well enjoy a good round of golf if you’re going to spend 20 hours or more flying over here. It’s great that I’m playing golf.”

Daniel Bradbury, at 9 under, is the sole third place finisher. Nicolai Hjgaard, Thorbjorn Olsen and Nicolai Hojgaard are tied for fourth place at 8 under. Justin Thomas is tied with six other golfers for eighth place at 6 under.

Tommy Fleetwood is the two-time champion and defending champion of the tournament. He’s four shots behind heading into the weekend.

Francesco Molinari (even), Justin Rose (3 under) and Robert MacIntyre (over) are all in the field of 66.

Homa and JT took their wives on safari before the tournament.
