CHERRY HILLS VILLAGE (Colo.) — The United States Walker Cup Team roster is now set.
After the conclusion of Sunday’s 123rd U.S. The United States Golf Association International Team Selection Working Group and Coach Mike McCoy, who announced the final selections for the American team at the 49th Walker Cup on the Old Course in St. Andrews between Sept. 2-3.
The Walker Cup is an amateur team competition between Great Britain and Ireland and the United States. The Old Course is the only venue to have hosted eight Walker Cups.
Michael Thorbjornsen of Stanford, who is ranked second in the World Amateur Golf Rankings, was supposed to represent the United States, but he withdrew. He also withdrawn from the U.S. Amateur, due to a back injury .
