LOS CABOS (Mexico) — Yogi Berra famously said that it is getting late early.
After this week, there are only two events left in the FedEx Cup fall portion of the schedule. Some players’ chances to secure a card next year and save their season are running out.
Making the cut was important to players like Peter Malnati who began the week as the No. The player, who was ranked No. 116 at the start of the week in the FedEx Cup, rallied to shoot a 6-under-66 with no bogeys and made the cut.
Seventy four players had a score of 5-under-139 or higher to qualify for a weekend tee time (two additional players can reach that number on Saturday morning after the second round is completed). Check out some of the players that weren’t as lucky.
The World Wide Technology Championship second round was suspended at 5:52 pm due to darkness. It will resume at 7 am on Saturday.
Three players are finishing the par-5 18th on Saturday, with two of them (Kensei Hirata and Satoshi Kodaira), at 4-under.
