College golf season is just around the corner.
In 2023-24, the season will be upon us. The best amateurs of the game are going to compete for a national title. After three years at Scottsdale, Arizona, the NCAA Championship will move to Omni La Costa, Carlsbad in California this season.
The new season brings new PGA Tour University rankings, including the Class of 2024.
PGA Tour U released its preseason ranking for the Class 2024 on Wednesday. The PGA Tour U will be in its fourth year. Last year, Ludvig Aberg finished at the top of the rankings and earned a PGA Tour Card.
North Carolina, Florida State, Stanford and Vanderbilt all have two players each in the top 25. The top 25 players in the preseason list represent nine different countries, including Australia, China and Denmark.
PGA Tour U, in partnership with the World Amateur Golf Rankings, ranks players based upon the last two years their collegiate career. The NCAA Division I Men’s Team Competitions, official PGA Tour Tournaments and selected DP World Tour Events are eligible tournaments. The Class of 2024 ranking period began in Week 23/2022, and ended on May 27, 2024 following the final stroke play round at the NCAA D1 men’s championship.
The player who finishes first in the final PGA Tour U ranking next May will receive a tour membership, while Nos. The No. The top 5 players (fully exempted) and the bottom 10 players (conditional) will earn Korn Ferry Tour membership. The players Nos. 6-10 (conditional), will receive Korn Ferry Tour membership. Players Nos. The North America Swing of the PGA Tour Americas will be open to all players Nos.
