Los Angeles Golf Club , the first announced in Tiger Woods’ and Rory McIlroy’s technology-infused TGL has received a little more support before the league’s start in January.
The NBA’s two-time MVP Giannis Antietokounmpo and his brothers Thanasis Kostas, and Alex have all invested in LAGC. LAGC is owned by Reddit founder Alexis Ohanian and Serena, and Venus Williams.
Here’s a format for those who are unfamiliar with TGL’s plans:
Six teams, each consisting of three PGA Tour pros, will play 15 regular season Monday night matches. Semifinals and final matches will follow in January 2024. The matches will take place at a short-game, tech-infused complex. Fans will be able see every shot on primetime TV during a two-hour broadcast.
