This spring, college golf fans will be treated to a lot of live coverage.
Tuesday’s announcement by NBC Sports was that Peacock and Golf Channel would air close to 150 hours of college golf live this spring. The main focus will be the 2023 NCAA Championships at Grayhawk Golf Club, Scottsdale, Arizona. Three of the most prestigious tournaments in the country are also being televised.
The Southwestern Invitational, hosted by North Ranch Country Club in Westlake Village, begins January 30-Feb. 1. The broadcast will take place between 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. ET.
Next up is the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate, which will be held at Long Cove Club, Hilton Head, South Carolina from February 27 to March 1. It was the first ever all-women’s college regular season event to be broadcast on Golf Channel last year. It will air from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. this year. ET.
The Western Intercollegiate Pasatiempo Golf Club, Santa Cruz, California will be the final regular season event. It will be broadcast from April 10-12. The broadcast will live the first two days from 7-10 p.m. ET. ET, and the last day from 4-7 p.m. ET ET.
The NCAA Championships for women (May 22-24, and men (May 29-31) will also be broadcast. There will be nearly 70 hours coverage during those two weeks.
Vanderbilt is currently the highest-ranked men’s golf team in the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings going into spring. Stanford, the defending national champion, is at the top of the women’s rankings.
