ESPN will broadcast the TGL – the new technology-infused golf league, led by Tiger Woods & Rory McIlroy – when matches start on Jan. 9, 2024. However, a documentary on one of six teams airs on an NBC affiliate.
NBC Sports Next (a division of NBC Sports) will stream “The Making of a Boston Sports Team”, a work titled, in early 2024. The series will follow McIlroy, his teammates Keegan Brad, Adam Scott, and Tyrrell Hatton during the first year of the new league. It will be available on NBC Sports Next (a subdivision of NBC Sports), Peacock, and New England Sports Network.
NBC Sports Next’s GolfNow product and the Boston Common Golf team have partnered for a multi-year period. The partnership will offer exclusive sponsorship opportunities via the team, as well as VIP experiences and opportunities to customers. McIlroy is the captain of Boston Common Golf and also co-founder of GolfPass. This digital golf membership program is run by NBC Sports Next.
