SCOTTSDALE (Ariz.) — The Grayhawk Golf Club Raptor Course, which has been a test of the top men’s college players for the past two years, remained that way on Friday.
Score conditions were tough for the opening round of NCAA Men’s Golf Championship on Friday. Grayhawk is a par 70 for men (not par 72 for women), and it measures 7,289 yards.

Vanderbilt was 14 over last year after four rounds of stroke-play. It looks as though that score may be relevant again this year with the golf course playing more difficult throughout the week.
In the morning wave of play, no team scored below par. Georgia Tech did manage to score an even-par.
