Nelly Korda will be grouped with Lydia Ko, Charley Hull and the other AIG Women’s Open 2023 participants in Walton Heath, Surrey in England.
Korda is quite okay with this.
I love Charley. She’s a lot of fun. I love playing with Charley. I’ve played two practice rounds with her. She said at her pre-tournament press conference on Wednesday that she and Hull were “pretty friendly”. Korda then touched on another aspect of Hull’s game.
She’s a very fast player. “I enjoy that.”
All levels of the game are affected by slow play. Carlota Ciganda was docked 2 strokes at the Amundi Evian Championship, the LPGA’s previous major. She was disqualified after she signed an incorrect scorecard and refused to accept the two-stroke penalty.
Korda stated, “I believe that the Rules of Golf should be followed at all costs.” “I like Carlota. She is a wonderful person. I like playing with her. “I am a good player, but the Rules of Golf remain the Rules of Golf and I think it is good that they are being enforced.”
She stated that playing with slow golfers can “throw your rhythm off as a golfer”. Fans can be annoyed by slow golfers.
“I believe it should be monitored. If I were a spectator, I would find it difficult to watch if the game lasted for more than 5 1/2 to 6 hours. You want to watch sports that are constantly moving, not stalling.
