Nelly Korda, who is a former driver of Nelly Korda’s, fires a round-low 64 in the 2023 Evian Championship after turning to her old driver

Jul, 2023

Nelly Korda’s last few LPGA starts haven’t gone well. She missed out on the Cognizant Founders cup and KPMG Women’s PGA, before finishing 64th in the U.S. Women’s Open.

Korda won the Ladies European Tour in London two weeks ago.

The world’s No. 2 didn’t carry that mojo into the Amundi Evian Championship this week. The world No. 2 started with rounds of 70 to 73, and finished 1 over par through 36 holes.

Korda was on the course early on Saturday morning with an old friend: a Titleist TSR1. She had signed with TaylorMade back in January, and was using the Stealth 2.

She was not asked about her change in round after the round. However, she said that the low round had been “relieving.”

“Honestly, relieving. It was great to see today that all our hard work paid off. “I made a big push on moving day. I am really happy with that,” Korda said.

The 25-year old will start Sunday’s final round at a distance of five places behind leader Celine Boutier. Korda will tee off at 6:05 am alongside Yuka Sados. ET. Golf Channel will broadcast coverage from 5:30-11 am. ET.
