The RBC Canadian Open is one of the top tournaments on PGA Tour’s schedule for 2023.
Nick Taylor, a Canadian, won his third Tour title with a 72-foot walk-off putt. It was the longest putt of his career. This was the first Canadian to win his national open since Pat Fletcher did so in 1954.
Taylor, after ending his drought, said “I can’t describe how it feels.” This is an incredible feeling.
His victory and his celebration will now be forever associated with the tournament.
The RBC Canadian Open’s logo was changed on Friday. It’s a subtle nod to Taylor’s putt, and the celebration which followed.

That’s right. The “I” is now Taylor’s putter toss, after he knocked in the eagle-putt to win.
Tim McLaughlin, Golf Canada’s Chief Marketing Officer, said in a press release that they were “excited” to pay tribute to Nick’s epic performance by capturing the spirit of the moment with the logo and brand identity for the RBC Canadian Open 2024. “Nick’s historical victory will be celebrated throughout the RBC Canadian Open in 2024 and the reimagined Logo is a fitting tribute to Nick and to this special moment for our National Open.”
The RBC Canadian Open 2024 will be held at Hamilton Golf and Country Club, Hamilton, Ontario from May 30 to June 2.
