Patrick Cantlay, who was not part of the Ryder Cup winning team on Sunday has big plans for tomorrow.
Cantlay and Nikki Guidish are getting married in Rome.
Cantlay replied during the press conference that “I am getting married tomorrow.” “I am very excited.”
He received a rare round applause from the press room.
His wedding plans were brought up in a conversation about his headwear. Cantlay was famous for going without a hat at the Ryder Cup. This became a hot conversation topic. He said it was because his team hat did not fit, but one report quoted sources who claimed that it was a protest against the fact players aren’t paid directly for playing in the Ryder Cup.
Cantlay’s decision to not wear a hat at the Ryder Cup was questioned by some. They believed that he did so to avoid tan marks on his wedding day. Stefan Schauffele was Xander Schauffele’s father.
Schauffele, bursting into laughter, said “I apologize for everything my dad said.”
