McIlroy was qualified by winning the 2022 RBC Canadian Open. He tied for fourth in the Sentry in 2019, his only appearance.
McIlroy did not play in his first event of 2022 until mid-February at the Genesis Invitational.
At 5:02 p.m. Friday, there were 39 names in the field for Sentry.
