Several players from each circuit spoke out to support their side during the PGA Tour vs. LIV Golf battle. Bryson deChambeau, Sergio Garcia, Phil Mickelson and Bryson DeChambeau were quick to assist Greg Norman on numerous occasions. Rory McIlroy and Jon Rahm have been the Tour’s leaders.
Billy Horschel was also clear in his opinions regarding LIV and its members participating in PGA Tour or DP World Tour events.
But did he initially think otherwise?
Hank Haney claimed recently on his podcast, that a pro-PGA Tour golf player who was outspoken about LIV Golf’s situation requested over $50 million from the Saudi circuit earlier in the year. This request was rejected.
Mickelson liked some tweets by users that predicted Horschel. Lefty may have known the situation because of his association with the league at an early age.

Horschel was clear about which side he chose to fight for during media interviews and media sessions throughout the season.
Horschel stated, for example, that LIV members had been brainwashed prior to the FedEx St. Jude Championship. They feel so determined to return to the PGA Tour.
Horschel spoke out at the Genesis Scottish Open about comments LIV members made about the Tour. “There are a lot of hypocrites that don’t tell the truth, and that lie about some things. That’s why I just can’t stand it anymore. I’ve been diplomatic about it in the past.”
“I don’t think anyone should be held responsible for taking the LIV tour. I have no ill will towards anyone who plays the LIV tour. I don’t like the comments they have made.”
