The college golf season ended last week. However, many of the top collegiate players from around the world have gathered in Ligonier in Pennsylvania.
The 2023 Arnold Palmer Cup a 3-day Ryder Cup style event began Thursday at Laurel Valley Golf Club. The competition pits American college golfers against an International Team.
The format for Thursday is mixed four-ball, while there are two sessions on Friday: the first will be mixed foursomes, and the second, mixed foursomes. Saturday will be singles. A champion will be announced at the end.
Each team is made up of 12 men and women who represent their respective countries. Team USA will be coached by Derek Radley of Oregon and Pepperdine University’s Michael Beard, while Kentucky’s Golda Borst will lead the International Team and Notre Dame John Handrigan and Kentucky’s Golda Borst will lead Team USA.

The United States is the leader in all-time records with a 13-12-1 record. Last year, the International Team won in Switzerland.
