This was not the first accolade Ko received in her long and distinguished LPGA career. She had won 12 times on the Korean LPGA Tour before she made the leap from Korea.
Ko has won 13 LPGA titles, including two major championships, in her fifth season. Ko won the most prize money in three consecutive seasons (2019-2021), and was also awarded LPGA Player Of The Year honors in 2021 and 2021.
Ko is currently battling a wrist injury that has been affecting her since the 2021 season. She hopes to regain her form and take No. Ko is currently ranked No. 1 in the world.
