After becoming a professional in 2000, Kuchar missed the deadline to register for Q-School. He was forced to use sponsor exemptions for 2001. Kuchar was able to earn enough money to be fully exempted for the 2002 season.

After finishing 159th on this year’s money list, Kuchar lost his PGA Tour Card in 2005. Kuchar was able to play his way back onto the PGA Tour in 2007 and has never looked back.

Kuchar won the 2009 PGA Tour win, after a gap of seven years. Kuchar had a banner year in 2010, when he won the Vardon Trophy and the Byron Nelson Award, as well as the Arnold Palmer Trophy, for leading the Tour’s scoring average and earning money.

Kuchar, in his 30s was more than able to compete with the newer players like Rory McIlroy and Jordan Spieth. Three top-5 Masters finishes.

Fans and players alike have been impressed by his appearances in numerous Ryder Cups, Presidents Cups. Kuchar is still one of the most beloved players on the PGA Tour in the final stages of his career.
