The inaugural Grant Thornton Invitational begins on Friday, featuring PGA Tour and LPGA stars. Teams of two consisting of a Tour member and an LPGA player will compete in Naples, Florida at Tiburon Golf Club, home of the LPGA’s CME Group Tour Championship, and the former site of the Tour’s QBE Shootout.

Over three days, three formats will be used: scramble on Friday, alternate shot on Saturday, and modified best-ball Sunday. The modified best ball format is new and promises to be a lot of fun. The team finishes the hole by switching golf balls after each player has teed off. The team will be determined by the lowest score of the two players.

Some of the notable teams are Tony Finau/Nelly Corda, Rose Zhang/SahithTheegala, and Ricky Fowler/Lexi Thompson.
