Talor Gooch went from a promising PGA Tour player to a face that is barely noticed by LIV Golf within a blink.
Gooch was born and raised outside Oklahoma City. He played college football at Oklahoma State. Gooch, who turned professional in 2014 and played on the PGA Tour Canada between 2015 and 2016, before joining the Korn Ferry Tour of 2017, earned his way up the ladder.
Gooch earned his PGA Tour Card via the money list during his rookie season in 2017-18. He made 12 out of 27 cuts. Gooch, who was slowly gaining momentum and forming his game, finally won at the RSM Classic in 2021.
Gooch, a former PGA Tour player, joined LIV Golf early in 2022 and became the first PGA Tour player to defect to Saudi-backed golf league.
Gooch, who was originally a member of the 4 Aces along with Dustin Johnson and Pat Perez, joined the Range Goats in 2023. Gooch won his first LIV in Adelaide, Australia.
Don’t be shocked if his name appears on the leaderboards of majors in this season.
