PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere), a golf program, helps veterans to rehabilitate with the aim of improving their mental, physical, and emotional well-being.
Every year, PGA HOPE introduces golf to 7,500 veterans at 215 locations across the country.
Twenty veterans with cognitive or physical challenges, such as TBI (Traumatic Brain Injuries), PTSD (Post Traumatic stress Disorder) and amputees, visited the capital to receive specialized training and golf instruction.
The heroes took part in the 2022 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship at Congressional Country Club last week.
They also participated in a program show and interview opportunity before the round.
After their week, the veterans were elected PGA HOPE Ambassadors. They have the responsibility of being champions for PGA HOPE in each market they live in.
