Golfers like Tony Finau and Tyrrell Haston are able to make powerful, consistent swings. They don’t need irons that increase ball speed. They don’t want more forgiveness. They want a better feel from their irons. They want to be able to predict the exact location of each shot on the hitting surface.
Ping’s Blueprint T is designed for low-handicappers, including elite ballstrikers and collegiate golfers.
The Blueprint T is the replacement for the original Blueprint which was released in 2019 The Blueprint T is the most compact Ping Iron, featuring an ultra-short blade length, narrow topline, and a slight offset. Blueprint T also is the only Ping Iron with a fixed blade length from 3-iron to 8-iron.
The heads are made from a single 8620 carbon steel piece before the striking area is rounded and grooves added.
The Blueprint T was given a subtle weighting increase by adding tip and toeweights. The clubs should be less likely to twist when hit off-center. Slightly.
Blueprint T has a slightly lower launch angle and produces less spin than Blueprint S. Standard lofts for the clubs are 26 degrees for the 5-iron and 41 degrees on the 9-iron. It should be easier for players to create blended iron sets, while still maintaining consistent distances between the different types of clubs.
