The Skinny Designed for the G430 drivers, fairway woods and G430 drivers, the Ping G430 hybrids are distance-enhancing technologies that improve consistency.

Deep Dive: Ping has developed new hybrid clubs with many of the same technologies as its drivers and fairway woods. This will help golfers who desire more distance off the green and greater consistency.

The G430 hybrids are clean in appearance, with a matte black top and a single white dot on the top to aid golfers in aligning the ball with their target area.

Players will see a woven pattern within the crown if they look closely. This crown was made with carbon fiber and not stainless steel. The Carbonfly Wrap by Ping wraps around the heel, back edge, and toe of the crown. It is significantly lighter than a similar shaped stainless steel crown.

The lighter crown combined with the tungsten weight at the back of your sole will help lower the center of gravity and encourage higher-flying shots. The G430 hybrids are less likely to twist on off-center hits due to the extra weight at the rear.

Ping also calls Facewrap, a variable-thickness maraging stainless steel face. It extends below the leading edge. It will allow the hitting area’s flexibility on low-struck shots and center strikes.

G430 hybrids feature a low profile. Designers modified the curvature of the face to ensure that low-struck shots won’t over-spin. Balls hit higher in the hitting area spin slightly more. This is what Ping refers to as Spinsistency. It will improve the distance control and overall consistency of spin across the hitting area.

Ping designed the G430 hybrids to help fitters and players find the right club to fill their gaps. The adjustable hosel allows for loft adjustments of up to 1.5 degrees and a lie angle adjustment of up to 3 degrees.
