Since LIV golf‘s debut at Centurion Club, London, in June last year, there has been plenty of drama, excitement and storylines.
PGA Tour players can choose to go to LIV Golf or stay on the PGA Tour. Some players are taking jabs back and forth. There are many legal disputes. LIV Golf’s attempt to enter the golf industry was in the news almost every day.
LIV Golf played at Centurion Club this week. 2023 LIV Golf London starts on Friday. This is the first time LIV Golf has played the same course twice.
It was the eighth event of eight last season. This year it is the ninth out of 14. The future of LIV Golf has been in doubt since the announcement of an agreement between the PGA Tour DP World Tour & Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund – the financial backer for LIV – was made. However, players & executives continue to play as if it will continue.
Only time will tell.
