PopStroke is coming to another Florida hotspot backed by Tiger Woods

Aug, 2023

PopStroke is the modern mini-golf course franchise backed by Tiger Woods. It has added another location to its ever-growing list of locations.

A story in the Palm Beach Post of the USA Today Network states that a Palm Beach store is scheduled to open its doors by 2025. The location will be located on airport land at the southwest intersection of Australian Avenue, and Belvedere Road adjacent to Palm Beach International Airport.

The story claims that the franchisee will pay $440,000 per year in rent for the location. However, this price may be adjusted. The county may also receive a percentage from gross revenue, which will likely drive up the rent.

A payment of 4% of gross annual revenues up to $10,000,000 is required, plus an additional 2% for gross annual revenues above $10,000,000. PopStroke must pay PopStroke the higher amount if revenue calculations are greater than the flat rate.

Two 18-hole miniature golf courses will be included in the project. They will have jumbotron screens and music, as well as a mobile app that delivers drinks. The project will include an open-air restaurant with full service, a rooftop swimming pool, and multiple bars. One of these bars will be located in the middle area.

The second golf-themed venue to be built near the airport is the Drive Shack. Drive Shack will open in 2020, at 1710 Belvedere Road, as a high-tech, sports-bar-style driving range. The Park, an 18-hole public golf course on 192 acres, opened this spring in 7301 Georgia Ave.

Dylana Silver-O’Brien is PopStroke’s vice president of marketing. She said that the airport was chosen because it’s central location. Palm Beach International Airport is home to more than 6 million passengers per year.

PopStroke, an upscale putting-and-dining venue, has announced plans to open a number new locations in 2024. The majority of these announcements came months after TaylorMade Golf Company signed a deal to increase PopStroke’s value to $650 millions.

Scottsdale, Arizona, Delray Beach in Florida, Tuscaloosa Alabama, and Las Vegas are the four venues that have been completed or under construction.

Popstroke is also expanding to Nashville, Tennessee and Myrtle Beach in South Carolina as well as Dallas and College Station in Texas. Florida will add venues in Orlando/Winter Garden, Daytona Beach and College Station.
